St. Catherine of Siena

That's just true. I think it explains the majority of the Church's problems. I also think St. Catherine would have gotten along with Hilaire Belloc.

Mission Statement

Why was the school closing campaign launched and why is the parish closing campaign causing such problems? Three reasons, I think:

• Bureaucrats can become enthusiastic about a large project, even when the project does not advance the organization’s purpose.

• The archdiocesan employees behind the plan prefer social work/lay leadership/huggy-talky religion to traditional Catholicism.

• There seems to be a cultural disconnect between the planners and working class Catholics.

This blog is my attempt to provide evidence for those conclusions.
